PV Gas, Thai Binh cooperate for mutual development

(VEN) - On February 12, 2019, a delegation from the PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas), led by Nguyen Sinh Khang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board at PV Gas, paid a working visit to Thai Binh Province.

The delegation visited the provincial party committee, people’s council and people’s committee.

Secretary of Thai Binh Province’s Party Committee Nguyen Hong Dien described outstanding results of socioeconomic development in 2018. He said that 2018 was the third consecutive year of the provincial economy’s double-digit growth, and that Thai Binh was one of the top three localities in the Red River Delta in terms of economic growth last year. The number of newly-established companies, as well as the attraction of investment, increased strongly.

Thai Binh Province is developing major projects, including a coastal land route, an industrial project catering for agriculture, the inauguration of the Thai Binh 1 Thermoelectric Plant, and commencement of construction of an international general hospital with 1,000 beds.

Secretary Nguyen Hong Dien acknowledged PV Gas’ contributions to Thai Binh Province through the implementation of the corporation’s political obligations as well as social security programs. He asked the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group and PV Gas to identify gas reserves in Thai Binh in order to establish a gas distribution center for the northern region in the province.

Secretary Nguyen Hong Dien also requested PV Gas to tighten management to ensure safety, continue implementing its tax obligations and further its cooperation with the province in social security programs. He said Thai Binh Province will continue its support for PV Gas and its subsidiaries, helping them overcome difficulties and fulfill their tasks.

On behalf of PV Gas, Secretary Nguyen Sinh Khang thanked Thai Binh Province’s authorities for their support and pledged to fulfill the tasks assigned by the secretary of the provincial party committee.

On December 2, the PV Gas delegation worked with Dang Trong Thang, deputy secretary of the party committee and chairman of the people’s committee of Thai Binh Province.

The chairman praised PV Gas’ achievements and asked the corporation to increase its cooperation with relevant departments, sectors and localities, while at the same time furthering investment in diversifying products and attracting new customers to expand its sales network. He expected PV Gas would maintain stable supply of gas at reasonable costs and continue contributing to Thai Binh’s socioeconomic development, in general, and the Thai Binh Economic Zone, in particular.

Secretary Nguyen Sinh Khang expressed his sincere thanks to Thai Binh Province’s authorities for their willingness to create favorable conditions for PV Gas and its subsidiaries to maintain stable and effective operations of the Ham Rong Gas Distribution and Gathering System. He also presented Tet gifts to local people, on behalf of PV Gas.

Also on December 2, the PV Gas delegation visited the Northern Low Pressure Gas Distribution Enterprise and the Tien Hai Gas Distribution Center of the PetroVietnam Gas South East Transmission Company. They listened to reports on the production and business results of these units and encouraged them to promote creativity at work to maintain stable supply of gas and ensure safety.
