(VEN) - The PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has strengthened measures to control the Covid-19 epidemic, ensure the security and safety of the country’s gas works, protect residential communities and maintain the pace of production and business activities.

Following a new outbreak of Covid-19 epidemic in late April, PV GAS urged member units, departments, offices, and the management board of PV GAS Tower's building to keep tightening epidemic prevention and control measures to ensure the progress of corporation’s 2021 plan.

Employees at all PV Gas units are required to submit medical declarations regarding the places they have visited since April 25, those traveling to/from Ha Nam, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc, and Da Nang provinces, who are also being urged to take preventive measures recommended by the Ministry of Health and the corporation. The need for medical declarations will be enforced until further notice.

All employees are asked to monitor their health, notify local health authorities and working units of unusual symptoms, especially those related to the Covid-19 epidemic.

PV GAS unit heads are responsible for the epidemic prevention and control, including developing and implementing remote work in epidemic-hit areas or for those who have visited those areas.

Temperature measurement and disinfection before entering the workplace

All facilities, offices and gas works are periodically disinfected, especially in common areas such as reception halls, meeting rooms, toilets, stairs and elevators. Guests and staff entering the facilities have their temperature taken and are required to make medical declarations, wash their hands and wear masks.

PV GAS has suspended unnecessary events, conferences, seminars, physical training and sports activities. The scale of events that cannot be delayed or held online is reduced, strictly adhering to Covid-19 prevention and control measures including wearing masks, keeping distances, and disinfecting.

PV GAS is on high alert for unpredictable developments and expansion risks of the epidemic, strictly following scenarios for each situation and ensuring the effectiveness of the proposed measures.

PV GAS disseminates information, raises vigilance, and focuses prevention efforts to reduce the spread of

Covid-19. The employees’ discipline in adhering to instructions, solidarity and unity are praised in the fight

against the epidemic.
