(VEN) - The PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) has promoted initiatives in recent years, significantly contributing to fulfilling trade and production targets and achieving success.
Launching creative labor movements
After 29 years of establishment and development, PV GAS has been maintaining and operating four gas pipeline systems (Cuu Long, NCS, PM3 Ca Mau and Ham Rong-Thai Binh) in a safe, stable and efficient manner.
PV GAS has always highly appreciated creative labor movements and innovation initiatives, which are viewed as a leverage to promote trade and production activities. These creative ideas have not only benefited the corporation, but also greatly contributed to increasing labor productivity, strengthening management efficiency, enhancing product quality, and improving working environment. In addition, it has also helped the corporation’s personnel and employees master technologies and improve their skills.
In 2018, PV GAS had 390 ideas and initiatives, of which 185 were recognized and 78 were applied in practice. The outstanding units, such as KCM, KVT, KDN, NCSP, KDH, and DAK made strong contributions to promoting initiatives.
During the 2016-2018 period, PV GAS had a total of 561 ideas and initiatives, of which 178 were recognized at the PV GAS level and 10 were recognized at the PetroVietnam level.
Some typical initiatives have brought high economic efficiency for PV GAS. For example, solutions to supply permeate gas from the Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant (GPP Ca Mau) to the Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant by KCM and DAK have helped avoid the flaring of gas, which results in the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and causes environmental pollution. This initiative has contributed to increasing the corporation’s annual revenues by VND63 billion and bringing profits of VND9.5 billion. This initiative was also recognized at the PV GAS’ special level in 2018, and is proposed to be recognized at the PetroVietnam level in 2019.
Solutions to offset moisture from the Nam Con Son Basin to the Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant (GPP Dinh Co) have helped maintain the maximum gas flow, contributing to increasing the corporation’s profits by US$1.1 million by 2017, US$8.5 million in 2018 and about US$13.5 million in 2019. This initiative was recognized at the PV GAS’ special level in 2018, and is proposed to be recognized at the PetroVietnam level in 2019.
The initiative to increase the efficiency of LPG recovery has also benefited the corporation. This initiative was recognized at the PV GAS’ A level in 2018.
Appreciating any idea
PV GAS has always highly appreciated and encouraged employees to launch creative labor movements and promote innovation initiatives in trade and production activities. In PV Gas, all initiatives, no matter how big or small, are promptly rewarded and honored.
The PV GAS Trade Union has established the Innovation Initiative Division to launch and promote movements throughout the corporation. Through the idea-receiving system, the corporation’s personnel and employees have the right to access and register their initiatives. All initiatives are accepted and assessed. Depending on the efficiency and application scale of initiatives, they will be rewarded at unit, trade union, or PV GAS levels or proposed to PetroVietnam for reward.
PV GAS has also established the Council of Science and Technology to comment, assess and assist in applying initiatives to the practical operations.
PV GAS Deputy General Director Nguyen Quoc Huy said the corporation’s creative labor movements have developed strongly. Personnel and employees have made greater efforts to promote ideas and initiatives, helping increase labor productivity, save costs, enhance product quality, and make practical contributions to the sustainable development of PV GAS.
