(VEN) - Approved by the prime minister through Decision 253/2003/QD-TTg dated November 25, 2003, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade is assigned to coordinate with other ministries and agencies to implement the Vietnam Value program. It is an initiative of the Vietnamese government to promote the country’s image through well-branded Vietnamese products and services.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade deployed the 2016 Vietnam Value Week between July 11 and 17, 2016 in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with the presence of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade; the PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation and the PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation; and the PetroVietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company.
The key contents of the 2016 Vietnam Value Week included street banners in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang; bike parade on the main streets of Hanoi; the Vietnam Value forum with local products in the National Convention Center; and a photo gallery.
Various activities for the purpose of strengthening trade promotion, supporting businesses to advertise their brands and introducing Vietnamese goods abroad are being implemented.
This event has attracted great attention of not only leaders of the party and state, ministries and departments, people’s committees of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang but also Vietnamese business community, associations, organizations and press agencies.
Activities in the framework of the program have brought pervasive effects, encouraging the Vietnamese business community to drive towards quality, innovation, creativity and pioneer.
