(VEN) - A delegation of Ca Mau Province's leaders, led by the Vice Secretary of the provincial Communist Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tien Hai, in association with PV Gas Ca Mau, patrolled the sea in Ca Mau Province and the PM3-Ca Mau submarine gas pipeline from April 22-24.
Ca Mau Province People's Committee Chairman patrols PM3-Ca Mau gas pipeline
A delegation of Ca Mau Province's leaders, led by the Vice Secretary of the provincial Communist Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tien Hai, in association with PV Gas Ca Mau, patrolled the sea in Ca Mau Province and the PM3-Ca Mau submarine gas pipeline from April 22-24.
The delegation consisted of leaders of the Command of provincial border armed forces, the provincial military command, public security forces, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Planning and Investment, and leaders of coastal districts of U Minh, Tran Van Thoi, Phu Tan, Ngoc Hien and Dam Doi. PV Gas Ca Mau Director Nguyen Phuc Tue and other members of the company's leadership also joined the delegation.
The 298km-long PM3-Ca Mau submarine gas pipeline works to carry two billion cubic meters of natural gas from the overlapping area between Vietnam and Malaysia in the Gulf of Thailand to supply for the Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Complex, generating profits amounting to billions of dong per year and contributing nearly 40 percent to the province's budget revenue.
The patrol reflected Ca Mau Province leaders' special attention to and guidance for activities to protect absolute security and safety for the PM3-Ca Mau gas pipeline, while at the same time tightening the relations between PV Gas Ca Mau and local departments and sectors.
In the framework of the three-day patrol, to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day, the delegation visited and presented gifts to soldiers and residents in Hon Chuoi, Hon Khoai islands, the DK1 oil platform and Naval Region 2 Command.
NA Vice Chairman visits GPP Ca Mau
On April 24, a supervision delegation of the National Assembly, led by General Do Ba Ty - Vice Chairman of the 14th National Assembly, in charge of national defense and security, visited the Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant (GPP Ca Mau) to inspect its fire prevention system. The delegation consisted of leaders of the Government Office and the People's Committee, departments and sectors of Ca Mau Province. The delegation was received by Nguyen Van Be Ba, Deputy Director of PV Gas Ca Mau and heads and deputy heads of company departments/divisions.
At the meeting, PV Gas Ca Mau Deputy Director Nguyen Van Be Ba gave a brief introduction about the PM3-Ca Mau gas pipeline and GPP Ca Mau, as well as the plant's fire prevention system and the ways in which GPP Ca Mau deals with fires and explosions in emergency cases.
General Do Ba Ty highly appreciated the modernity and readiness of GPP Ca Mau's fire prevention system. On behalf of the entire staff of PV Gas Ca Mau, Deputy Director Nguyen Van Be Ba expressed sincere thanks to the National Assembly, the Government and the People's Committee, departments and sectors of Ca Mau Province for their support. He also expressed the wish to receive further support from them in the coming period.
