Promoting reforms of tax and customs formalities

(VEN) - The Government Office recently released Official Letter 2039/VPCP-TCCV conveying Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s guidelines for administrative reforms in the fields of taxation, customs, social insurance, health insurance and seafood quarantine.

Following guidelines of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Ministry of Finance continues to accelerate administrative reforms in the fields of taxation and customs according to the spirit of Governmental Resolution 19/NQ-CP dated March 18, 2014 regarding major tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance the national competitiveness.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with concerned authorities to propose administrative reform initiatives which can provide a basis for amending and supplementing legal documents governing the examination and certification of export seafood safety and import, export seafood quarantine, facilitating seafood production and trading activities.

Vietnam Social Security must intensify the application of information technology in order to improve management and create favorable conditions for inpiduals and organizations to pay insurance premiums.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also assigned ministries, sectors and localities to tighten control over administrative procedures right in the process of drafting legal documents. Administrative procedures must be promulgated in accordance with stipulations given in Governmental Decree 63/2010/ND-CP dated June 8, 2010 regarding the control of administrative procedures.

The implementation of administrative procedures at all levels must be examined and assessed so that limitations can be found and surmounted on a timely basis and initiatives can be proposed to improve administrative procedures./.
