Viet Nam's export value hit US$63.2 billion over the past five months of the year, expanded by 7.3% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The export value included US$18.83 billion contributed by the State sector, down 2.7% and US$44.37 billion made by the foreign-invested enterprises, up 12.2%.
The processing industry saw a remarkable export growth of 16.5%, attaining US$49.27 billion.
Among items seeing good sales abroad in the reviewed year, phones and accessories earned the largest amount, with US$11.8 billion, up 18.5%, followed by garment with US$8.11 billion, up 8.7%, computers and electronics with US$6.02 billion, up 59.7% and footwear US$4.63 billion, up 19.5%.
Agricultural and aquatic products earned US$8.14 billion, down 9.5%.
The group of fuel and mineral saw a decrease in the export turnover of 53%, obtaining nearly US$2 billion.
Exports to the US and the EU grew 117.6% and 8.6%, accounting for 20.1% and 18.7%, respectively, of the total.
Meanwhile, the export turnover to ASEAN, Japan and China reduced 3.7%, 6% and 1.2%, respectively./.
