(VEN) - To develop traditional handicraft and help rural workers find jobs and increase their incomes, the Phu Tho’s Industry Promotion, Energy Saving and Consultancy Center has coordinated with related agencies to organize vocational training courses for 170 rural workers.
More specifically, the center coordinated with the Women’s Union of Thanh Thuy District to train mushroom and cat’s ear production for 70 rural workers in Son Thuy Commune, Thanh Thuy District; and with the Women’s Union of Tan Son District to train traditional brocade weaving for 100 rural workers in Xuan Dai and Thu Cuc Communes, Tan Son District.
The training courses last for three months. Trainees will acquire basic knowledge, techniques and experience from good teachers and skillful artisans.
The leader of the Phu Tho’s Industry Promotion, Energy Saving and Consultancy Center said training and passing handicraft is one of the priorities of Phu Tho industrial promotion movement to encourage the development of local handicrafts, helping rural workers earn their livings by non-agricultural occupations in their own native villages./.
