Members of the Party Central Committee discussed a scheme for effectively implementing Vietnam’s global economic integration and maintaining socio-political stability in the context of Vietnam’s membership of new-generation free trade agreements.

The discussion took place in the morning of the fifth working day of the 12th Party Central Committee’s fourth conference, on October 13. It was presided over by President Tran Dai Quang, who is a member of the Politburo.

In the afternoon, the committee’s members listened to two thematic reports on recent developments in the East Sea and the policies adopted and measures taken by Vietnam in connection therewith, and on the fourth industrial revolution, several of its characteristics and its impact and policy implications for Vietnam.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, also a Politburo member, chaired the session.

The conference, which opened on October 9, will last through October 15./.
