(VEN) - Metalex Vietnam 2016, Nepcon Vietnam 2016, the Business Alliance for Support Industry and the Industrial Components & Subcontracting Vietnam will take place on October 6-8 in the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center with the goal of helping the Vietnamese support industry sector strengthen its development and promote international integration.

A signing ceremony on the organizing of the event was held in Ho Chi Minh City between the Japan External Trade Organization in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center and Thailand’s Reed Tradex. The four exhibitions are expected to welcome more than 10,000 visitors.
Metalex Vietnam 2016 will mark 10 years of activities in its market as well as introduce innovative machine tools and expert metalworking solutions. Reed Tradex Managing Director Isara Burintramart said, “Metalex Vietnam will continue its mission to be the global sourcing platform with the participation of more than 500 brands from 25 countries aimed at providing advanced technologies for customers to meet increasing production standards. In addition to metalworking solutions, there will be ample opportunities for visitors to experience testing technologies for electronics manufacturing and see more industry’s key players at Nepcon Vietnam.”
Japan External Trade Organization in Ho Chi Minh City Chief Representative Hirotaka Yasuzumi said that JETRO has implemented many exhibitions for support industries for more than 10 years to promote its development, but not many new companies have appeared. Therefore, the previous method has been set with the definite role of buyer and supplier. In addition, JETRO will give priority for any new Vietnamese businesses who have never participated in Business Alliance Exhibition from not only Ho Chi Minh City but also surrounding provinces.
“In addition to coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center, we will also cooperate with the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority, departments of industry and trade, development centers for support industries and industrial zones management authorities in Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.”
Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center Deputy Director Nguyen Tuan said that the city has passed development policies for support industries to improve the localization rate of high-tech products by implementing new solutions. The center has continuously cooperated with agencies and foreign partners in Ho Chi Minh City to organize conferences and training courses in order to offer opportunities for Vietnamese support industry enterprises, contributing to increasing their competitiveness in the global supply chain.
