Ninh Binh supports rural industrial establishments

(VEN) - Aiming at promoting rural industrial development and supporting businesses in the region, the Ninh Binh Province Department of Industry and Trade has accelerated state management and supervision of industrial promotion activities.

In 2015, the department recommended the Provincial People’s Committee to issue Decision 499/QD-UBND dated May 26, 2015 on approving the 2016-2020 Ninh Binh Province industrial promotion program and Decision 18/2015/QD-UBND dated July 1, 2015 on management of industrial promotion funding for Ninh Binh Province. Annually, the department directed agencies and the Industry and Trade Promotion Center to work with people’s committees of the city and districts to prepare national and local industrial promotion plans. Simultaneously, the department provided guidelines for beneficiaries of industrial promotion projects for effective implementation and financial supervision.

Since 2015, the Ninh Binh Province Industry Promotion Center has implemented a project to form a district-level industrial promotion collaborator network and supported remuneration for collaborators. Industrial promotion collaborators are now found in eight districts and Ninh Binh City, who are working to strengthen industrial promotion activities.

In 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People’s Council agreed to allocate VND4.87 billion to 32 industrial promotion projects in Ninh Binh Province, including VND1.5 billion of national industrial promotion funding for two projects and VND3.375 billion of local industrial promotion funding for 30 projects.

The Provincial Department of Industry and Trade led the Industry and Trade Promotion Center to work with the department’s agencies and pisions to provide guidelines for funding allocation.

In the first nine months of this year, the Industry and Trade Promotion Center funded 32 projects, with total capital of VND2.36 billion, accounting for 70 percent of the annual target. The center took acceptance results from the first batch of 13 projects, mainly implemented by rural industrial establishments.

Following state guidelines, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade recommended the Provincial People’s Committee to issue the 2016-2020 industrial promotion program and regulations on industrial promotion funding management as well as other practical guiding documents, aimed at creating a consistent legal framework for industrial promotion.

The quality of industrial promotion collaborations has improved through training and study tours, which has helped to build up an effective industrial promotion system in the region.

With assistance from local and central authorities as well as great efforts from the industry and trade sector, Ninh Binh Province has obtained remarkable achievements in industry promotion, contributing to the development of industry, handicraft and rural areas in the region.
