Ben Burrowes, Regional Director, Asia at Education New Zealand, said, "New Zealand not only improves its curriculum to keep up with the trends of the times, it also focuses on improving the professional competencies of teachers, lecturers, and educational administrators in order for them to deliver effective solutions for their students. ENZ's scholarships enable learners in Vietnam to develop practical skills and knowledge about contemporary education, through innovative pedagogical methods, the impacts of digital education tools as well as collaborative approaches to learning, which can be customised to the requirements of teaching in the future. "

Learners who complete the Digital and Collaborative Teaching and Learning Micro-credential will receive an accredited New Zealand Qualifications Authority. Credits earned at the course can be transferred to the postgraduate program of The Mind Lab or other providers programs; approval of the cross-credit will be at the institution's discretion to which the learner is applying.

The Mind Lab founder, Frances Valintine - one of the top 50 EdTech Educators in the world, shares, “Professional development isn’t just a ‘nice to have’. In today’s rapidly changing world, it’s a necessity that allows you to remain relevant and continue to create solutions that deliver value to the business, community or organisation you work with. That’s why we designed a range of new micro-credentials. Our contemporary micro-credentials offer bite-sized learning at its best. Micro-credentials are ideal for today’s busy lives. Our strong industry network and focus on applied practical learning means all our micro-credentials have been designed in collaboration with the real world. And because of their short, sharp, deep learning nature, you’ll gain that satisfaction of being able to apply your new knowledge immediately. These courses are relevant for today, and most importantly, for tomorrow. Micro-credentials are a new way to think about learning, without having to commit to a long-term program or qualification.”

University lecturers, school teachers, educators who meet all eligibility criteria can apply for these fully-funded scholarships by filling out the application form and submitting a 2-min video explaining why they should be considered for the scholarship. The application form is closed on April 10, 2022.

Successful candidates need to commit to fully participate and complete the course throughout 15 weeks, from May 9 to August 21, 2022, and to attend Zoom sessions with program facilitators.
