New policies on special consumption tax, support industries development, compulsory social insurance, region-based minimum wage, and multidimensional poverty line will take effect in January.
Decree No. 108/2015/ND-CP dated October 28, 2015 of the Government on detailed implementation of a number of Articles of the Law on Special Consumption Tax and the amended Law on Special Consumption Tax will come into effect since January 1, 2016.
The Decree stipulates the scope of adjustment, taxable objects, non-taxable objects, tax refund, tax rates, tax reduction and tax refund.
Decree No. 111/2015/ND-CP dated November 3, 2015 of the Government on the development of support industries covers a series of preferential policies applicable from research and development to technology transfer and production stages.
The Government also issued a list of prioritized auxiliary industry products such as garment, footwear, electronics, automobile production, manufacturing and high technology.

Decree No. 122/2015/ND-CP dated November 14 on region-based minimum wages for employees working for companies, cooperative unions, cooperatives, cooperative groups, farms, households, inpiduals and organizations hiring employees under labor contracts stipulates that the region-based minimum wages shall be increased from VND2.4 million to VND3.5 million per month from January 1, 2016.
