The participants said Vietnam’s agricultural products, seafood, garments and textiles have great potentials to penetrate into Belarus market while Belarus is strong in machinery, automobile manufacturing and electronics. The two sides confirmed significance of bilateral cooperation especially after the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement took effect.
Vietnam is the gateway for Belarus to penetrate into ASEAN markets and Belarus can serve as a bridge linking Vietnam with eastern European markets. The conclusion of Vietnam-Belarus Free Trade Agreement, the approval of the Asia-Europe Economic Cooperation Agreement and upcoming visit to Vietnam by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko may be the breakthrough to boost trade and investment cooperation between the two countries./.
