Netherlands wishes to expand cooperation with Vietnam

On January 25 in The Hague City of the Netherlands, newly-appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to the country Ngo Thi Hoa presented her credentials to Dutch King Willem-Alexander.

During a meeting with the Vietnamese diplomat after the credential presentation, Dutch King Willem-Alexander congratulated the newly-appointed ambassador and wished her fulfill tasks in her new tenure.

The Dutch King told the Vietnamese Ambassador that the Government and enterprises of the Netherlands always wish to expand cooperation with Vietnam.

The King also expressed his pleasure with the fruitful relations between the two countries as well as Vietnam’s strong development in recent years.

He also recalled his visit to Vietnam in 2011 when he was the Crown Prince.

For her part, Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa affirmed that he Netherlands is one of Vietnam's important economic partners in Europe. Vietnam appreciates the country’s strength and experience in the fields of strategic partnership cooperation, she stated.

She said in her tenure, she will do her utmost to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands. She expressed her hope that the King will continue promoting the relations between the two countries.

She believed that when the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement takes effect, it will open up many new cooperation opportunities for the two countries’ business communities.

On this occasion, the ambassador convey greetings and invitation to visit Vietnam from Vietnamese president Tran Dai Quang.
