National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has affirmed support to the signing of a cooperative agreement between Vietnamese and Nepalese audit agencies to create a legal framework for implementing joint programmes.
At an April 24 meeting with the Nepalese high-ranking delegation led by Auditor General, Bhanu Prasal Acharya in Hanoi, Ngan hoped the two agencies will continue sharing experience in environmental and quality audits in order to further develop bilateral ties.
She revealed that the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAOV) is drafting revision and amendments to the 2006 Law on State Audit, which are expected to be ratified this year. She asked the two countries’ audit agencies to share information to make the Law on State Audit more efficient and effective.
For his part, Nepalese Auditor General Bhanu Prasad Acharya said the visit helps enhance mutual understanding and create a firm foundation for future cooperation, contributing to elevating friendship relations between the two countries.
He briefed the host on the results of talks between SAOV and the State Audit of Nepal and hoped that the two sides will further strengthen coordination and exchange experience and visits.
