Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa speaks at the workshop to launch the ministry’s administrative reform tasks for the year
The ministry’s administrative reforms in 2015 were more successful than in 2014 thanks to the implementation, control and assistance of administrative reform tasks. All the implemented tasks reached their targets and were regarded as effective.
Last year, the ministry abolished 30 and simplified 54 administrative procedures with a view to shortening the time and costs for people and businesses. It also pioneered computerizing civil service examinations and the implementation of a staff-downsizing project in accordance with Government Decision 108/2014/ND-CP.
Public awareness over the ministry’s administrative reforms helped people and businesses easily access information on a variety of administrative procedures related to National Single Window, ASEAN Single Window, the import and export of explosives, large displacement motorcycle import and preferential C/O.
As of the end of 2015, the ministry had provided 26 online public services for people and businesses.
At the workshop, Thoa highlighted positive administrative reform results achieved last year and appreciated the ministry’s innovative approach to the implementation of administrative reform tasks. She also asked affiliates to continue to promote administrative reforms this year based on approved administrative reform plans, limit the number of new administrative procedures, resolve administrative reform related questions posed by people and businesses, cut through red tape, and resolutely handle administrative violations, while immediately rewarding inpiduals and organizations of merit.
