Thanks to the program "Organizing consultancy and technical support to improve production at Vietnamese enterprises in the field of supporting industries and manufacturing finished products in the South", enterprises have increased their productivity yet product’s quality; At the same time, the factory has been rearranged to ensure its suitability and economy in the current challenging situation.
On December 28, the Southern Regional Technical Support Center for Industrial Development, under the Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade - MoIT), summed up the program "Organization of technical advice and support to improve production in Vietnamese enterprises in the field of supporting industries and manufacturing finished products in the South”.

Nguyen Quang Huy, Deputy Director of the Supporting Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that this program was implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. enterprises in the field of supporting industries. In 2021, there are 78/170 businesses selected to participate in the program. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation faced many difficulties, so the ministry reduced it to 51 enterprises selected to participate, most of which are businesses in the fields of supporting industries in the field of health and safety. textiles, footwear, mechanics, plastics, electronics….
According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy, the consultants have helped businesses have positive effects after participating in the program such as productivity and quality at enterprises were increased by an average of 20%; workshops were rearranged to ensure suitability, saving an average area of 34 percent; The working environment of employees at the enterprise is improved, scientific and convenient, making it easier for employees to observe, check and operate...
In particular, through the consulting program at the production site, experts have pointed out the mistakes that businesses often make in production, helping businesses and employees change behaviors and habits to increase productivity and efficiency at work.
ICDS signs a memorandum of understanding with associations and businesses to develop the program in 2022
It is known that the program was organized and implemented based on a consulting process that has been successfully applied by Samsung, including Meeting with business executives, assessing the operation and business situation of supporting industry enterprises. Initiating the process of consulting for product innovation, quality management, and goods circulation through maintaining the working environment (5S3D) and improving productivity; improving production facilities such as the quality and circulation of goods; summarizing, evaluate and giving the direction of maintenance and self-improvement to beneficiary enterprises.
In particular, through the consulting program at the production site, the consultants pointed out to businesses a lot of waste through the topic of identifying and evaluating 10 common types of waste in production. This gives confidence in the program to businesses and employees themselves.
Hoang Ba Son - Acting Director of ICDS said that in order for the program to spread and create the initiative to self-improve production in the supporting industry business community in particular and The industry in general needs the cooperation of both domestic and foreign business communities, ministries and sectors, especially the participation and coordination of local departments and industry associations.
Within the framework of the closing ceremony, the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between IDCS and 3 associations such as: Ho Chi Minh City Leather and Footwear Association took place. Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Sewing and Embroidery Association. Ho Chi Minh City and Cu Chi Business Association on priority to support members of the association to participate in supporting industry development programs in 2022.
