(VEN) - The ribbon-cutting ceremony of Songkran Festival was held on April 13th at MM Mega Market Vietnam, marking the opening of the two-week promotion of thousands of Thai products as well as discovering the unique Thai culture and cuisine.
Songkran Festival is the traditional New Year celebration of the Thai people, taking place in April every year. Songkran Festival is considered as one of MM’s major festivals of the year held annually at 21 stores nationwide.

MM Mega Market Vietnam has offered more than 2,000 quality imported Thai items, along with many attractive promotions up to 45% including Chang beer, Ocean glass set, Sandee rice, sauce, Kanokwan seasoning, Doi Kham fruit juice, Wai Wai instant noodles, Thai vermicelli tomyum Thaiaree, Talaethong squid snack. Customers can enjoy delicious traditional Thai dishes prepared by MM’s professional chefs at food counters at 12 stores across the country.
Bruno Jousselin, Managing Director of MM Mega Market Vietnam, said, “Thailand is Vietnam's largest trading partner in ASEAN and the ninth largest FDI investor, while Vietnam is Thailand's fifth largest trading partner in the world. Both countries are aiming to reach US$25 billion in two-way trade by 2025. For many years, MM has played an active role of a cultural promoter and food supply-chain connector between the two countries. Besides bringing Vietnamese the possibility to experience Thai imported products, since 2019, MM Mega Market has been exporting globally, particularly to Thailand such as fruit and vegetables, frozen products, dry food, etc. so that everyone living abroad can enjoy good quality of the Vietnamese agri-products.
Kitchen Studio launched on the 1st floor at MM’s head office
On this special occasion, MM Vietnam officially introduced "Kitchen Studio" as the most modern kitchen on the 1st floor, at its head office. This is considered the latest investment as well as MM's strategy in strengthening the position of the leading food retailer for millions of professional and household customers in Vietnam.
Kitchen Studio, with a total space of 80sq.m, simulates like a real, modern one with full range of equipment from a dedicated oven, a kitchen island that is arranged reasonably, convenient for the chef to prepare food from preliminary processing, cleaning to cooking food in the fastest way. From now on, all livestreams on social media and Food@MM cooking series will be shot at MM’s dedicated Kitchen Studio which is performed by its Brand Ambassador - Chef Cam Thien Long.
Kitchen Studio will be an ideal place for MM to organize HoReCa Customer Panel (Hotels, restaurants, canteens) to create a community of professional chefs where they can update and have their sharing about new recipes made from MM's abundant and qualified ingredients.
Kitchen Studio will be also the place for exciting internal activities such as Cooking club, Food Tasting with new recipes created by the skillful hands of MM’s chefs.
Prior to this, MM is also the only retailer in Vietnam that owns professional chef team and have cooking demonstration counter at 12 stores across the country. Customers shopping at MM at weekends can enjoy many unique delicacies prepared at the food counter.
