(VEN) - METALEX Vietnam 2019, Vietnam’s international exhibition on machine tools and metalworking solutions for production, was successfully held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 10-12.
METALEX Vietnam 2019, themed “Rising with Innovations”, was co-located with two shows: “Welding Vietnam 2019” (specializing in welding and cutting materials, equipment, and technologies in Vietnam) and “ROBOT X HCM” (displaying a vast array of advanced industrial robots). The event gathered more than 500 brands from 25 countries.
Vu Trong Tai, general manager of the Reed Tradex Vietnam, said that over the past decade, METALEX Vietnam has been a steadfast ally of Vietnamese manufacturers to catch up with the ever-evolving innovations and knowledge in the field of metalworking. Additionally, it is an ideal platform for technology providers from different countries to showcase their advanced machines and share their pragmatic solutions to leading industrialists in order to maximize manufacturing capabilities. As the organizer of METALEX Vietnam, we have recorded a surge in interest from both local and international exhibitors. The number of METALEX Vietnam 2019’s exhibitors increases by 30 percent compared to last year’s edition.
Adhip Mitra, additional executive director of India’s Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), leader of the Indian Pavilion (METALEX Vietnam 2019’s Partner Country), said: “It is a great honor to see that India has been selected as a partner country for METALEX Vietnam which is one of the most established exhibitions of the ASEAN region. I sincerely hope that this edition of METALEX 2019 brings further momentum to India-Vietnam’s engineering trade relations. I also wish that more exhibitions will be arranged in both countries for future interactions between the engineering industries of both countries.”
According to Apirat Sugondhabhirom, consul-general of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, “METALEX Vietnam and other related exhibitions this year are organized at the opportune time in order for countries like Thailand and Vietnam to take the paradigm shift in tackling with the emerging economic challenges and re-think on how to achieve sustainable economic growth. Deeper integration into global supply chain, more advanced manufacturing through innovation and technology and strengthened supporting industries are therefore the keys for our countries to move up the value chain and to be on a par with international capabilities and requirements.”
At METALEX Vietnam, visitors had a chance to take part in the exclusive Engineer Master Class and be accredited to receive certificate after completing the program. Furthermore, first time in a manufacturing exhibition in Vietnam, on-site virtual welding training was available.
In addition, Tokyo SME Support Center organized the Tokyo SME Seminar which is perceived as an essential accelerator for Vietnamese suppliers and Japanese buyers. This promises to be a fast track to achieve fruitful partnerships with the right enterprises. Besides, at “Koma Taisen” competition, manufacturers from small to medium enterprise showcased their metalworking skills and design reflected through their customized spin tops. Winner and first runner-up have a chance to join the global competition in February, 2020 in Yokohama, Japan.
