This year, to further strengthen and enhance the manufacturing industry, Reed Tradex - the organizer will keep support activities such as Business Matchmaking, Agent Wanted and Sourcing Service to provide a networking opportunity for local businesses to interact in a global market place. And, more distinctively, to promote industrial robotic applications in Vietnam, Universal Robots and Reed Tradex will co-organize a showcase all about the robotic arm’s flexibility and adaptability, addressing the challenges of improving productivity, throughout the Cooking Omelet with Robot Chef to demonstrate its potentials to small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in various sectors seeking to improve their production process.

The Engineer Master Class is one of interesting programs at Metalex Vietnam which will continue to deliver technical experiences to Vietnamese industrialists. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ngoc Tuan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Mechanical Engineering (HAME) said, “The Engineer Master Class is planned to be a special training class, open for engineers to broaden their knowledge and skills necessary to operate smart technologies integrated with Internet of Things, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence and advanced robotics that will transform Vietnam’s entire industrial ecosystem.” He added, “This program has the mission to move the manufacturing and supporting industries in the forward direction, to be ready to overcome any challenges and uncertainties that the Industry 4.0 era may bring.”

In addition, another exciting arena KOMA TAISEN will also return to Metalex Vietnam this year. This is a convergence of high precision spin tops (Koma) which are produced by SME manufacturers and a representation of a new generation of producers who are focused on capturing trends and enhancing production. Hirate Yosuke, President of Orient Machine Ltd said, “We held the KOMA TAISEN for the purpose to encourage all of manufacturers to show their ability in producing the high precision products to the world.” At the competition, each Koma must have a diameter of 20mm or less and an overall length of up to 60mm. In order to win the battle, Koma must maintain the longest balance in the ring, or push the competitor out of the ring while continuing its rotation. The showcase of each Koma will reflect the production process of any high precision product which is basically must to ensure the technical specifications and standard accuracy; it requires a high-tech process in the well design and application use of advanced CNC machines.

Suttisak Wilanan, Deputy Managing Director of Reed Tradex said, “Metalex Vietnam 2017 will be a platform where local manufacturers will not only have the opportunity to enhance their metalworking capabilities with the latest machine tools, solutions and services from 500 brands, but also expand their business networks while keeping abreast of major industry trends”.
