The master plan, drafted by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, will be submitted to the government and the politburo for consideration before being discussed by the Party Central Committee in October, 2016.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue asked the drafting agencies and relevant ministries and sectors to attach importance to this project.
The Deputy PM underscored the need to concretise and clarify perspectives and views of the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress; as well as consult the Political Report, the Socio-economic Report of the Party, and programmes which were finalised by the National Assembly, the government, departments, ministries and agencies on the implementation of the economic restructuring and shifting growth model over the past years.
Deputy PM Hue suggested that the contents of the master plan be specified on the basis of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration with long-term growth objectives.
At the same time, the plan should set out tasks for relevant agencies to improve the legal system on socio-economic development, he noted./.
