The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt and Lebanon in co-ordination with the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (LCCIA) held a seminar entitled ‘Vietnam Market - Potentials and Business Opportunities’ on September 27.

During the event, Vietnamese Trade Counsellor Pham The Cuong briefed the participants on Vietnam’s potential as well as its policies regarding foreign investment and trade ties with foreign countries. He invited Lebanon businesses to join the Food Expo slated for this November.
The Vietnamese Embassy has helped Lebanese businesses establish a forum that updates them with information on the Southeast Asian nation, he said.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt and Lebanon Do Hoang Long called on the two countries’ enterprises to participate in joint trade fairs, exhibitions and investment workshops to enhance connectivity.
Meanwhile, Naji Mouzannar from the LCCIA said many Lebanese businesses wish to seek opportunities in Vietnam.
The LCCIA will exchange information with the Vietnamese Embassy’s Commercial Affairs Office, Naji Mouzannar said, underlining the need to establish a council of Lebanese businesses co-operating with Vietnamese partners.
The two sides also stressed the need for connectivity and experience sharing between the two countries as well as agreed that the LCCIA and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry should sign a co-operation agreement.
Direct partnerships should be set up by the two countries' enterprises, Ambassador Long said, adding that the Vietnamese Embassy’s Commercial Affairs Office will work with the LCCIA to support them./.
