Recently, Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation (aT) donated 1,800 gifts worth VND105 million to support pandemic-hit people in Vietnam through Hanoi Red Cross Society.
Accordingly, the gifts containing high-quality, healthy and nutritious Korean instant porridge products, were presented to three hospitals in Hanoi, including Thanh Nhan Hospital, Ha Dong General Hospital and Dong Da General Hospital. These hospitals are conducting quarantine and treatment for Covid-19 patients.
Mr. Dao Ngoc Trieu, chairman of Hanoi Red Cross Society, said, "More than five months have passed since the Covid-19 pandemic affected the lives of the people. To date, the pandemic has basically been under controlled nationwide, but there are still many patients being treated, and many of them are in difficult situations. In the meantime, we are greatly pleased to collaborate with many units, including the aT, to present aid packages, encouraging people to overcome this challenge”.
Mr. Park Min Cheol, representative of aT ASEAN Hanoi, shared, “aT is a state-owned corporation under Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs that support the globalization of Korea’s agriculture sector through agro-fisheries export promotion, food industry support, agro-food distribution network improvement and governmental commercial projects. aT has introduced Korean high quality agricultural, aquatic and food products to Vietnamese people for many years.
With this community activity, aT is very honored to cooperate with the Hanoi Red Cross Society to deliver nutritious meals meeting Korean standards to the people. Thereby, we also expect to support and the Covid-19 patients who are being treated at hospitals in Hanoi to overcome the pandemic and stabilize their lives soon."
Mr. Park Min Choel also said that aT will continue to have more activities to support the community, thereby contributing more to Vietnamese people in the coming time.
