(VEN) - The first low-cost carrier in Vietnam, Jetstar Pacific, always wishes to offer customers the best preferences. The firm has made ceaseless efforts to improve service quality to win customer trust and promote its reputation in the domestic and regional air transport markets.
Offering passengers cheap flights with careful service, Jetstar Pacific is confident of its ability to become the most favorite airline firm in Vietnam and worldwide. Over the past decade, it has offered millions of domestic and international flights, all of which satisfied passengers with quality service.
The results of an independent survey conducted by House of Brand, a global market research company, show that most passengers found the quality of service on Jetstar Pacific flights better than they thought. Passenger remarks reflect the quality of service and the reputation of an airline firm.
Last year, Jetstar Pacific provided more than 36,200 safe flights, transporting nearly 5.5 million passengers, 12 percent more than 2016. In the first seven months of 2018, the firm provided 24,061 safe flights, transporting more than 3.7 million passengers; its revenue exceeded VND5.39 trillion, up 31 percent compared with the same period last year, while its expenditure grew 17 percent; its profit reached VND277.8 billion; unit cost, not including fuels, decreased by 11 percent.
Taking flight BL506 from Nha Trang to Hanoi on August 16, Nguyen Quynh Hoa and her South Korean husband said they felt satisfied with the quality of service at Jetstar Pacific and the assistance of its service staff. They also showed their willingness to take Jetstar Pacific’s flights to Vietnam in the future.
The firm has applied a technology that allows passengers to implement self check-in procedures on website www.jetstar.com and opened self-service check-in kiosks to serve passengers taking flights from the three international airports of Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai and Da Nang.
It takes passengers only 30 seconds to complete all check-in procedures online. For this convenience, the number of passengers implementing check-in procedures online has grown rapidly and reached about 70,000 each month. Currently, more than 85 percent of passengers who buy tickets online use self check-in service.
Jetstar Pacific is known not only as the first low-cost carrier in Vietnam, but also as the first airline firm in the country to sell electronic tickets. The application of modern technologies enables it to control operation efficiency and improve service quality.
As a member of Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific is implementing a dual brand strategy with the national airline firm to diversify its services to meet customer demand and contribute to the development of the Vietnamese air transport market. Currently, Jetstar Pacific provides domestic flights to 16 destinations, including most major cities and famous tourist sites in Vietnam. It is also a member of Jetstar Group that provides international flights to 180 destinations in 18 countries.
On June 6, 2018, Jetstar Pacific received permission from the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam to submit remote schedules for flights departing from the Cam Ranh International Airport, becoming the first airline firm in Vietnam to apply this Industry 4.0 technology at 16 domestic airports, in an effort to simplify flight procedures.
Currently, Jetstar Pacific provides 128 flights per day (about 160,000 seats per week) to 16 domestic destinations and
six international destinations, including Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand), Chinese Taipei, Guangzhou, Hong Kong
(China) and Osaka (Japan).
