(VEN) - While foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to Vietnam dropped sharply in the first months of this year, the amount of FDI capital in Hanoi actually increased becoming a highlight in the city’s economic development.

(VEN) - While foreign direct investment (FDI) that Vietnam attracted in the first six months of 2014 fell more than 30 percent compared to the same period in 2013, Hanoi’s FDI attraction increased 30 percent during the same period. About US$450 million in FDI was already invested in Hanoi in the first half of this year, an increase of nearly 20 percent over the same period of 2013.

(VEN) - According to the 2014 Vietnamese business environment survey in German businesses announced by the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Southeast Asia, most of surveyed German companies said they felt optimistic about economic development in Vietnam. (VEN) - Van Don in Quang Ninh Province is a potential economic zone that is attracting a lot of foreign investors. It is obvious that an international airport is very important for attracting foreign investment. Therefore, Joinus Company Limited, incorporated in Vietnam by businessmen from the Republic of Korea (RoK), has planned the Van Don International Airport project in Quang Ninh since 2010.
