Germany and France have called for a summit of eurozone leaders on Tuesday to discuss the results of Sunday’s referendum in Greece.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande in a telephone conversation late on Sunday pledged their respect for the referendum’s results and planned to discuss the Greek crisis on Monday in Paris and at a Eurozone summit on Tuesday in Brussels.
Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni stressed the need to restart efforts to reach agreement with Greece. Meanwhile, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexei Likhachev said Greece had moved a step closer to exiting the eurozone.
In the referendum on Sunday, most of the Greek people rejected austerity measures and reforms by international creditors in exchange for aid./.
