After rocking the Vietnam automobile industry with its cumulative sales figures in 2015, Honda CR-V is once again ready to strike the market with its premium version.
The next generation CR-V will be larger and have more premium SUV features than the current version. Recently, it has also stunned the audience with its black color, 2.0-litre petrol edition at the ongoing 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which has been seen in the sportier exterior and interior.
The CR-V has won a series of awards from the organizations for the best 5 seater SUV for families in 2016 (Kelley Blue Book, USA, 2016), 5-star safety SUV and it is also among the top 10 safest SUVs in the world (traffic safety agency NHTSA US national safety & research Institute US national traffic IIHS, 2016). In December 2015, it also made a buzz when the 2017 model of the seven seater CR-V was spotted testing in North America and was speculated to be launched in the global market by mid of 2017.
The new five-seater CR-V will come with some significant changes that will offer enhanced driving experience. In terms of design and utility features, the new SUV has kept unchanged and will borrow the same from the 4th generation Honda CR-V only. However, under the hood, this latest generation SUV is upgraded with the 2.4L engine that will offer an impressive power output of 187 hp at 7,000 rpm with the maximum torque of 222 Nm at 7,000 rpm which is further mated to an automatic five-speed transmission.
Honda Vietnam has consistently managed its record in the country which is evident from its dynamic sales figure where it has sold almost 4,533 vehicles and it is expected that the upcoming CR-V will contribute adequately to not only uphold but also improve this performance./.
