Come along with Vietnamese health professionals, doctors as well as express corporate responsibility to the community in the fight against Covid-19, Hanwha Life Vietnam officially launched the "Protect The Heroes” program.
This is a meaningful program to help protect health professionals and doctors because they are the leading force at the front line to prevent epidemics and to take care local residents.
Under the program, Hanwha Life Vietnam will donate 8,000 protective suits worth nearly VND1 billion (anti-contaminated bacteria body suits, protective glasses, gloves, masks and shoes) to health care profesional and doctors. The suits are contributed by Hanwha Life Vietnam’s financial advisors and employees nationwide. 4,000 protective suits are provided directly to the Department of Health in HCMC today (April 10th) and the remaining will be donated to the Department of Health in Hanoi in April 17th.

Sharing about the program, Mr. Im Dong Jun, CEO cum Chairman of Member Council at Hanwha Life Vietnam said that frontline healthcare professionals are to put their own health at risk for our community in this pandemic situation because they directly contact and give treatment to patients to save the lives every day. More than anyone else, they are the ones who need to be protected and saved with appropriate medical equipment and clothing. “Following Vietnam Government and putting corporate responsibility at the heart of our company, Hanwha Life Vietnam donates 8,000 protective suites with desire to join hands with the country to overcome this touch challenge,” he emphasized.
Along with the "Protect The Heroes” program, in March 6th Hanwha Life Vietnam co-operated with The Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients to donate 3,257 health insurance cards to the poor in Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan and Ben Tre provinces with a total budget of VND974 million. Additionally, Hanwha Life Vietnam volunteers responded to the call of the Red Cross of Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City on the "Blood Donation Day" event to provide more than 175 blood units and over 200 gifts to help people in the Covid -19 epidemic fighting.
Although the Covid-19 epidemic has become complicated, Hanwha Life Vietnam's business results remained stable and had positive changes in the first quater of 2020. In the first quarter of 2020, the compay’s new premium increased by 21% over the same period last year.
Despite obtaining some positive results, Hanwha Life Vietnam believes that the life insurance market will face with certain difficulties in the near future. Therefore, the company continues to maintain strict control of operations, fully comply with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health in preventing diseases for our business system and employees. At the same time, Hanwha Life Vietnam accelerated the digital transformation in operation, including policies issuance, online premium collection channel, online claim...etc to reduce virus inffected risk to our customers. Training and recruiting activities are also deployed via online channels. Last year, Hanwha Life Vietnam officially entered the billion new policies life inssurance companies when we reached VND1,050 billion of the first year of premium. Currently, Hanwha Life Vietnam has 150 customer service centers nationwide, 44,000 financial advisors and over 400 employees.
