Hanoi ranks goods by consumer trust

(VEN) - The 2017 annual program for rating Vietnamese goods according to consumer trust and the 2017 annual high-quality Vietnamese goods fair will take place from September 21-25 in Hanoi.

According to Hanoi’s steering committee for the Buy Vietnamese Goods campaign, the annual events have attracted an increasing number of domestic enterprises seeking to introduce products and services.

Deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, Tran Thi Phuong Lan, said the 2017 high-quality Vietnamese goods fair will have 300 booths introducing safe farm produce, special products of Hanoi’s districts and towns, key industrial products, support industry products, and products from craft villages, among other goods. Hanoi is the only Vietnamese locality that ranks goods according to customer trust. A high rating and awards of these campaigns have proven an effective marketing tool.

At the ceremony honoring Vietnamese products most loved by consumers in 2016, Vu Hong Khanh, head of Hanoi’s steering committee for the Buy Vietnamese Goods campaign, said over the past seven years, Hanoi has been implementing the campaign to promote consumer patriotism and self-reliance. The campaign is also aimed at developing Vietnamese consumer ethics, and encouraging enterprises to produce high-quality goods and competitive products to meet domestic market and export demands.

Luong Van Thang, Board Chairman of the Viet-Tiep Lock Joint Stock Company, which was voted many times as a producer of Vietnamese goods loved by consumers, told Vietnam Economic News that the company has diversified product design and invested intensively in science and technology to create durable and attractive products. Each year, the company spent VND35-40 billion on reducing energy consumption and maintaining productivity stability to reduce cost. As a result, the company’s domestic sales maintained a high growth of about 15 percent per year.

The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade holds an annual program rating Vietnamese goods according to consumer trust and a high-quality Vietnamese goods fair in order to assist enterprises to promote their products/services, and increase the presence and sales of Vietnamese goods in the capital city.
