Hanoi attracts 55 FDI projects in Q1

(VEN) - The Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment said that Hanoi attracted 55 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of US$38 million in the first quarter of this year.

To boost domestic and foreign investment in the near future the city would persify investment regions and partners focusing on Japanese businesses via the scheme to attract Japanese investment from 2013-2015 and beyond.

Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Bai said that the city launched a Japanese investment promotion and dialogue conference on March 27 to attract Japanese investment.

The city also scheduled meetings with Hanoi-based businesses this year to resolve their problems, hear their proposals and progressively improve the investment environment./.
