The three-day 2016 Hanoi Ao Dai Festival officially concluded on October 16 with a host of original festivities at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, leaving deep impressions on domestic and foreign visitors.

Themed “The Quintessence of Vietnam’s Ao Dai”, the festival included exhibitions, art and cultural activities featuring the beauty of the Ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress). Workshops on preserving the Ao dai’s traditional values were also held during the event.
Collection of past and present Ao dai was displayed along with materials and old looms used to make the traditional costume at an exhibition entitled “Hanoi’s Ao dai Festival”.
This year’s event highlighted the grace of Hanoi’s Ao dai which reflects Thang Long’s traditional features, said designer Minh Hanh.
