(VEN) - An ‘Educational Campus Germany’ project will upgrade the International German School and build a modern vocational training center with a shared campus.

Following the successful implementation and commissioning of the flagship project and premium office building, “Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City,” Germany has set the course for another significant venture in the same city.

The "Bildungscampus Deutschland" (Educational Campus Germany) will be built within the framework of the strategic partnership between Germany and Vietnam.

The project will have two parts, the first to expand and rebuild the International German School (IGS) and the second to build a modern German vocational centre.

Both the academic and vocational schools will be able to train 600 students each. At the vocational school, the students will learn advanced skills that they can deploy in Vietnam as well as Germany, ensuring bright career prospects. In order to achieve the greatest possible efficiency through the joint use of common rooms and sports facilities, both institutions will be combined into one campus, which is planned as a new development with multiple buildings.

Total investment for the "Bildungscampus Deutschland" project is estimated at 25 million Euros. The German Bundestag has already approved total funding of 18 million Euros in the federal budget of 2019-2021 for the “Bildungscampus Deutschland” project in Ho Chi Minh City. The additional investment capital will be sourced from the circle of investors of “Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City.”
