Generali Vietnam Life Insurance LLC and The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) successfully organized a “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” (Born Children, Born Parents) workshop for more than 300 parents, kindergarten staff and children from Hoa Mi and Hoa Huong Duong kindergartens, Thuy Phu Commune, Huong Thuy Town, Thua Thien Hue Province. This was the first “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” workshop organized in Central Vietnam.

Shortly after the program launch on 23 June 2020 at the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Generali Vietnam and the NFVC quickly implemented the parenting education program across the country by publishing the online sitcom series on Generali Vietnam’s official Youtube channel and organizing local workshops in selected provinces, including Bac Giang and Thua Thien Hue, the first two provinces of Northern and Central Vietnam.

The workshop in Thua Thien Hue facilitated discussions about topics such as developing children’s positive emotion intelligence through regular encouragement and motivation; handling children’s tantrum behaviors; and ensuring a safe home for the children. These topical topics fall under the program’s three main content groups of intelligence, behaviors and health of children aged 0 - 6 years.

At this event, Generali Vietnam also offered 150 gifts to all participating children and 150 program booklets to their parents, as well as 30 special gifts in cash and in-kind to 30 needy families from the local communities.

Ms. Tina Nguyen, Generali Vietnam CEO, said: “We are glad that “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” has geared up to reach out to more parts of the country, including Central Vietnam this month. The workshops aim to create positive and sustainable impacts on the local children’s comprehensive development. The program enables Generali to continue realising our strategy of “Becoming a Lifetime partner” to Vietnamese families.”

From now until year end, at least 2,000 parents and children aged 0 - 6 years, and about 400 kindergarten teachers and officers from cities and provinces across Vietnam are expected to benefit from the “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” local workshops. The progam’s sitcom series has started being published on Generali Vietnam’s official Youtube channel since July 2020 and garnered millions of views, interactions and positive comments.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Le Tuyet Mai, Deputy Director of the NFVC, said: “We are glad to have been partnering with Generali Vietnam, which has been very active and dedicated to community activities, especially those targeted at children and disadvantaged children across the country. This is a very unique and innovative community education program in Vietnam, which is spreading positivity and creating impacts far and wide in the society.”
