(VEN) - The British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam - BritCham Vietnam – has announced the disbursement of VND1.1 billion in cash and VND 700 million in kind for various charities.
The fund was raised by the 20th BritCham Charity Fun Run in Ho Chi Minh City on September 15.
The organisations and projects that received charity funding from Britcham Vietnam in 2019 – 2020 were: Blue Dragon; Operation Smile; Pacific Links; Bong Sen Centre for Community Development; and ‘Road to happiness.’
Britcham Vietnam’s assistance related to the Covid-19 pandemic reached: the Vietnam Young Physician Association; Blue Dragon; Saigon Children’s Charity; and Christina Noble’s Children Foundation.
The Fun Run was a huge success, proving to be an excellent team building opportunity for companies and a great day out for families and friends. At the same time, participants helped BritCham support people in need throughout Vietnam.
This year, thousands of people participated since early morning along with their children. Pets were also welcomed to join the Fun Run.
All 42 sponsors/supporters sent their representatives and staff members to join the 5 km long run in Tan Trao, Phu My Hung, Tan Phu Ward, District 7, HCMC.
Besides attractive prizes for champions, Fun Run participants had a chance to get various prizes from lucky draws while enjoying many exciting activities at sponsors’ booths. Stirring performances from singer Orange, Soul Music & Performing Arts Academy and InQ International added to the enjoyment.
