Industry promotion projects have significantly improved beneficiary enterprises’ economic efficiency

In 2017, Bac Giang province was allocated VND600 million by the national industry promotion program to implement three advanced machinery and equipment application projects in the province’s Son Dong District and Bac Giang City.

The program helped a project for application of advanced machinery and equipment in artificial sand production at the Quoc Tuan Cooperative in Son Dong District’s Yen Dinh Commune, helping it procure a 86,400 cubic meters per year sand grinder.

It also helped finance a 30-kilograms-per-hour automated feather stuffing machine for export textile and garment production at VINAHAN Joint Stock Company in Bac Giang City’s Song Mai Commune. Funding was also provided for a continuous cutting machine for plastic packaging production at An Quang Hung Co., Ltd in Bac Giang City’s Tho Xuong Ward.

The Bac Giang Province Department of Industry and Trade said the projects significantly improved beneficiary enterprises’ economic efficiency.

A Quoc Tuan Cooperative representative said the new equipment has helped the cooperative produce sand meeting industrial and civil construction project standards while contributing to decreasing the construction sand price in Son Dong District. The cooperative is expected to reach revenues of about VND1.1 billion per year and provide jobs for 10 workers with an average income of VND5-6 million per capita per month as soon as the new equipment line reaches its full capacity.

A VINAHAN representative said the new equipment line is expected to help the company reach revenues of about VND80 billion (including an after-tax profit of VND8 billion) and provide stable jobs for 500 workers with an average income of VND8 million per capita per month, one year after it is put into use.

The Bac Giang Province Department of Industry and Trade said the province will build databases on rural industrial facilities to better satisfy industry promotion demand, and implement big, practical industry promotion projects.

The provincial Industry Promotion Center will strengthen industrial development and energy efficiency consultancy, and raise capital for and implement industry promotion projects/programs more efficiently. It will also implement cooperative programs between the department and such organizations as the provincial Cooperative Alliance, the provincial Women’s Union, and the small to medium-sized enterprise association to diversify and mobilize more capital for industry promotion projects.
