Ford Vietnam announced that it achieved all-timerecord monthly sales in April with overall retail sales jumping 85 percent year-over-year to 1,740 units.
The Ranger – Vietnam’s best-selling pickup truck in 2014 – maintained its leadership by capturing 56 percent of the segment in April
The record month was driven by continued strength in demand for Ford’s full lineup of vehicles in Vietnam, including the best-ever monthly totals from Ranger and Transit, and the continuing appeal ofboth the Everest and EcoSport, which continues to define the compact SUV segment in Vietnam.
Ford’s momentum in Vietnam in 2015 has helped drive itsyear-to-date sales up 66 percent to a total of 5,588 units, helping it continue as one of the fastest growing automotive brands in Vietnam.
“The appeal of our global Ford vehicles and their connection to so many different Vietnamese work and lifestyles is benefitting from the increasing stability in the economy and healthy consumer confidence, which is helping keep our Ford showrooms busy across the country,” said Jesus Metelo Arias, managing director, Ford Vietnam.
