(VEN) - November 11th, Ford Vietnam announced its best-ever monthly sales performance in October with retail sales jumping 39 percent year-over-year to 2,139 units.
Continued strong demand for the Ranger, EcoSport and Transit nameplates contributed to the record sales month that drove Ford’s year-to-date sales in Vietnam up 46 percent to 15,737 units, making Ford one of the fastest growing automotive brands in the country this year and keeping the Company on track for a record full-year sales performance.
“Our full line-up of class-leading Ford vehicles continues to attract a wide range of Vietnamese customers who appreciate the unmatched value in their respective segments,” said Pham Van Dung, Managing Director, Ford Vietnam.
The Ranger continues to be one of the best-selling vehicles in Vietnam with record monthly sales of 1,002 units in October, a 84 percent increase compared to the same time last year. This helped drive its year-to-date performance with sales rising 73 percent to 5,978 units.
The Transit reaffirms its segment leader position in the commercial van segment with its all-time record monthly sales of 591 units, a 56 percent increase year-over-year. Year-to-date sales of the Transit have increased 42 percent to 4,405 units.
The EcoSport compact SUV also continues its strong performance in October with retail sales of 358 unit, up 32 percent from the same time last year.
To further strengthen its product line-up in Vietnam, Ford recently introduced the new Ford Focus, featuring the powerful and efficient 1.5L EcoBoost engine, and the new Ford Everest, which raises the bar in the medium SUV segment in the region at the Vietnam Motor Show in Ho Chi Minh City.
The new Focus will be available in Vietnam this December, while the new Everest will be available in the first quarter of 2016.
