An exhibition promoting Vietnamese products in Thailand was launched at Central World - the biggest shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand on July 10.

Exhibited products are produced by leading Vietnamese businesses, including Binh Phu Furniture, Minh Long Ceramics, Sai Gon Beer, Dien Quang Lamp JSC., Hoa Tho Garment and Textile Company, together with such food brand names as Bich Chi, Hoan Chau, Tan Hue Vien, Tam Lan Tea and Highlands Coffee.
According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa, this is the first exhibition promoting Vietnamese products held in Thailand and the 12th around the world, saying that it is a good opportunity to promote Vietnamese culture and cuisine whilst enhancing the capacity of Vietnamese businesses.
She expressed hope that the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Central Group will work together in the future to organise similar programmes in other countries.
Chairwoman of the Association of Vietnam Retailers Dinh Thi My Loan said that Vietnam’s retail market is attracting foreign investors thanks to rapid urbanisation, the development of modern retail and increasing purchasing power of the middle class.
The exhibition attracted four famous Vietnamese chefs, including Vu Ngoc Duc, Ho Thi Trang, Hoang Trong Thanh and Huynh Tin Buu.
Sudhitham Chirathivat from the Central Group noted that the exhibition aims to introduce Vietnamese products and culture to Thai people and show the determination of Vietnamese businesses to reach international markets through the Central Group’s global distribution network./.
