An exhibition on Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements on the theme ‘Reform, Integration and Development’ opened at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre, 148 Giang Vo Street in Hanoi.

The opening ceremony was attended by Politburo members Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi; Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai; and Party Central Committee Secretary and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Truong Hoa Binh, and members of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee (CPVCC): Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh; as well as leaders from ministries, provinces and international organisation.
Covering 15,000-square-metre, nearly 70 booths from 27 ministries and ministry-level agencies and 29 cities, provinces and businesses nationwide are pided into four sections, each displaying photos, artefacts and films on the topic.
Addressing at the exhibition, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam said that the exhibition aims to present the outstanding socio-economic achievements under the leadership of the Party and State over the past 70 years, stretching over four display sections presented by ministries, agencies, localities and businesses.
Sideline events include seminars and conferences that enable exhibitors to introduce new policies, investment opportunities and technologies and promote trade.
As one of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and Vietnamese National Day (September 2), the event was co-organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Ministry of Planning and Investment and other ministries and provinces./.
