The European partners and sponsors have officially launched a €3.9 million project to increase the explanation responsibility and transparency for the State Audit Office of Viet Nam (SAV).

The European partners and sponsors include the European Union, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and Development and the Expertise France.

The project will be launched from June this year to December 2019, said Director of Expertise France Asia Stephane Gil, adding that it is aimed at improving the management and supervision of public finance in Viet Nam by enhancing the organization and operation capacity of the SAV.

Relevant agencies will help the SAV increase its explanation responsibility, report planning, transparency and its role in supervising public financial management activities.

State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc affirmed that explanation responsibility and transparency in the State administrative activities will bring huge benefits to Viet Nam’s economy, ensuring democracy and fighting corruption./.
