EU provides 2.32 million euro for six sub-projects in Vietnam

(VEN) - The European Union (EU) Delegation to Vietnam and the European Trade Policy and Investment Support Project (EU-MUTRAP) kicked-off six sub-projects on September 4 within the framework of the 2.65 million euro EU-MUTRAP project with the EU contributing 2.32 million euro.

Beneficiaries of the project include businesses and related parties in several cities and provinces in Vietnam including rural and mountain areas. The sub-projects will be developed by business associations and research institutes from 2014-2017 focusing on building capacity in international trade and investment, training medium to small-sized enterprises, promoting policies, enhancing Vietnam-EU market connectivity, helping businesses meet the EU’s market access requirements, and building brand names.

The six sub-projects include Vietnam’s trade capacity, building sustainable brand names of handicrafts, helping leather and footwear businesses better meet product safety requirements, developing fair trade in Vietnam, increasing export value of cooperatives, and Vietnamese support industries towards the European market./.
