Japan and Vietnam: A tale of mutual attraction

(VEN) - According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the exchange of visitors between Vietnam and Japan has been increasing. In 2016, Vietnam welcomed 740,000 Japanese visitors, up 10.3 percent compared to 2015, while about 234,000 Vietnamese visitors travelled to Japan, up 26 percent over 2015.

(VEN) - Sea-based tourism in Vietnam’s central region has recovered after the 2016 pollution disaster that killed masses of fish and other marine life off the coasts of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces, according to the National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

Of these, 125 beaches and bays are considered favorable for tourism development, and more than 30 have been developed, resulting in local poverty reduction. Marine tourism has contributed 70 percent to Vietnam’s tourism revenue.
First-half tourism: Going strong

(VEN) - According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO), in the first half of this year, Vietnam attracted more than 6.2 million foreign visitors and 40.7 million domestic visitors, earning total revenues of VND254.7 trillion, up 27.1 percent from the same time last year.
Ca Mau looks to attract investment in tourism

The southernmost province of Ca Mau is calling for investment in two tourism projects worth 1.2 trillion VND (52.7 million USD) in Dat Mui (Cape Ca Mau) tourism area in Ngoc Hien District, and along the Trem River in Thoi Binh district.
