(VEN) - Deepawali or Diwali is an annual festival celebrated throughout India with absolute bliss. This festival has been around for thousands of years, celebrating the return of the King and God, Lord Rama. The celebration starts near the end of October and ends in early November, around the time when countless epic legends occurred. The festival itself doesn’t have a fixed date as it follows the lunar calendar and occurs on the night of the new moon. Different regions of India celebrate Diwali on different dates as the lunar calendar is different for each of them. The celebration lasts for five days which are spent by praying to the gods.
