Trang An to be recognized as world heritage site

(VEN) - Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Duong Thi Thanh said in an interview to Vietnam economic News’ Thanh Tam that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will organize a vote for Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex to become a world heritage site in June.
India Festival in Ho Chi Minh City

(VEN) - The Embassy of India in Hanoi, the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City and the Ministry of Culture of India in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Vietnam, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and related agencies would launch an India Festival in Ho Chi Minh City from March 6-15 to promote cultural linkages between the two countries.
Hanoi conserves heritage sites

At the reception ceremony Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said, “Hanoi has committed to continue directing and better preserve and promote local relic and heritage sites.”
HCMC poised to hold first ‘ao dai’ honoring festival

Ho Chi Minh City is set to hold a large-scale fest for the first time to honor “ao dai” (traditional Vietnamese long gown) on March 8 and 9, which aims to better promote the grace of the attire and its historical development and uses, as well as to turn it into a tourist allure.
