Argentina Cultural Week in Vietnam

(VEN) - The Argentina Cultural Week in Vietnam was launched from December 14-18 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, marking 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Argentina, said the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
Vietnam to receive 7.4 million foreign visitors by the year’s end

(VEN) - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism said at the 2013 Tourist Business Conference in Hanoi that Vietnam would welcome 7.4 million foreign visitors by the end of this year, plus 35 million domestic tourists, which would together generate VND195 trillion in revenue compared with 6.8 million foreign visitors, 32.5 million domestic tourists and VND160 trillion in 2012.
Nation honors King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong

(VEN) - A ceremony to commemorate the 705th anniversary of the attainment of Nirvana of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong, the founder of Vietnam Zen Buddhism, was held at Yen Tu Mountain in northeastern Quang Ninh on December 3. On this occasion, a bronze statue of the King-Monk was placed on Yen Tu Mountain where his passage to Nirvana took place.
Boosting Vietnam-Greece tourism cooperation

(VEN) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Vu Binh recently met Greek Minister of Tourism Olga Kefaloyanny in the Greek capital of Athens to promote Vietnamese tourism among travel companies from Corfu Island and Manessis, a major Greek tourist company from Athens. As a result of the meeting, Manessis scheduled to launch tours to Vietnam next year.
