(VEN) - Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang met German Ambassador to Vietnam Jutta Frasch on April 22 in Hanoi.

Vu Huy Hoang was pleased to see that the Vietnamese-German strategic partnership strongly developed across the board. He spoke highly of Germany’s choosing Ho Chi Minh City as the venue for the 14th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business scheduled to take place in this coming November. “This is an important economic event which would contribute to boosting trade and investment between Germany and countries in Asia-Pacific and between Germany and Vietnam,” said Vu Huy Hoang.

During the meeting Jutta Frasch showed her desire to accelerate the pace of major German-Vietnamese cooperative projects including the German House project in Ho Chi Minh City.

In response, Vu Huy Hoang said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade would work with the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee to quickly resolve problems related to investment procedures in order to complete the project on time.

Both countries would celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations next year. As for now, the two countries are developing cooperative projects such as Metro Route No.2 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam-Germany University, and German House in Vietnam./.
