Emirates opens new gateways in Yangon and Hanoi

(VEN) – August 3rd, Emirates enhanced its presence in Southeast Asia with the launch of a new daily service from Dubai to Yangon (RGN) in Myanmar and Hanoi (HAN) in Vietnam. The route is operated with a three-class configured Boeing 777-300ER.

This new service expands the airline’s network in the Southeast Asia region to 12 cities in seven countries and offers more choices and convenience to passengers travelling between Hanoi and Yangon to Dubai and beyond.

Hanoi is the airline’s new passenger gateway within the country following the launch of services to Ho Chi Minh City in 2012 and the cargo-only service to Hanoi in 2013. The inaugural flight EK388 from Dubai arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 15:30hrs local time. The aircraft was greeted by a traditional water cannon ceremony.

Flight EK389 departs from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 22:50hrs arriving in Yangon at 00:20hrs. The flight then departs Yangon at 01:50hrs and arrives at Dubai International Airport at 05:05hrs.  Inbound, flight EK388 departs Dubai at 03:30hrs and arrives in Yangon at 11:40hrs. It then departs Yangon at 13:00hrs, arriving at 15:30hrs in Hanoi.
