(VEN) - The Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs opened many job transactions, contributing to harmonizing the relationship between employers and employees. The department’s director, Khuat Van Thanh said that for years Hanoi has worked hard to create jobs for workers and that through job transactions the city created a bridge for employers and employees to come closer to each other. These job transactions attracted a large number of businesses and training facilities.

(VEN) - The job consultancy and introduction festival recently held at the Ho Chi Minh City Vinatex Economic-Technical College really acted as a useful link that helped students exchange necessary information about job opportunities as well as employment process and conditions of enterprises. The job festival attracted participation of 21 enterprises and more than 800 students.

Escaping poverty thanks to vocational training

(VEN) - About 75 percent of the rural laborers in the northern province of Lao Cai (mostly ethnic minorities) after attending vocational training courses have been employed by local enterprises with average wages from VND4-6 million per person per month. Vocational training for rural laborers (according to the Prime Ministerial Decision 1956/2009/QD-TTg) is regarded as a “fishing rod” to help Lao Cai’s laborers escape from poverty.
