(VEN) - In order to ensure the balance between supply and demand of goods, stabilize the market in the last months of the year, and meet the needs of people in the province for essential goods, Dong Nai has issued a plan to well implement the program of stabilizing prices of essential commodities in the 2021-2022 period.
The implementation plan is built on the basis that the population in Dong Nai Province up to now is about 3.22 million people (about 904,800 households). Currently, Dong Nai has 6 trade centers, 11 supermarkets, 227 convenience stores, 148 traditional markets and 65,935 grocery stores (localities in remote areas of the province such as Cam My, Xuan Loc, Tan Phu, Vinh Cuu has from 3,000 to 5,000 grocery stores) that are providing a full range of essential goods for people in the province.

The price stabilization program has 19 items, including: pork, chicken, eggs, poultry, seafood, vegetables and fruit, instant noodles, salt, sugar, monosodium glutamate, seasoning powder, cooking oil, soya sauce, fish sauce, bottled drinking water, antibacterial masks, antiseptic water, toilet paper, textbooks, school notebooks.
Units participating in the price stabilization program must have a commitment to participate in the province's stabilization program (for enterprises committed to price stabilization), and strictly comply with the unit's commitments and regulations of the program. In addition, the units participating in the program must organize the distribution of goods in accordance with the approved plan to create and supply goods, to ensure that the goods participating in the program meet the quality and food safety standards. Units participating in the price stabilization program have to list prices and sell goods at the right prices that have been appraised and approved by the Department of Finance.
In addition, units must develop distribution systems and increase the number of selling points to stabilize the market. The focus selling points is at traditional markets, industrial parks, workers' accommodation, remote and isolated areas in the province, and collective kitchens.
At the same time, participating units must publicly announce the addresses of the points of sale, hang banners, signs, list prices, and display goods at convenient and separate locations for consumers to easily recognize and shop.
When participating in the price stabilization program of the province, participating units have many benefits such as: being able to borrow capital from the budget to organize the stockpiling of goods as planned; be supported by investment policies to develop the system, be supported with advertising for goods to stabilize the market; be facilitated to participate in activities to support the consumption of agricultural products in Dong Nai and other provinces and cities and then be supported for export; be facilitated to participate in the program to bring goods to rural areas, industrial parks in the province.
The stable price sale program in Dong Nai Province is implemented for 12 months (starting from October 1, 2021 to the end of September 30, 2022).
